Oh, to be in Montréal now that Spring is here...

No, really... imagine what'll be like if we go all the way.

I have mixed feelings about this. I hope they win, yet every single time there are some supporters who get stupid. Oh well, at least this year there won't be Yvan Delorme saying the stupidest things if things go wrong on Sainte-Catherine.

Incidentally, I was in Montreal for three weeks last April, the hockey fever was already high. I didn't even suspect then they would have gone so far.

And it's nice to see you blogging again. I was actually wondering if you would blog about the many news concerning Montreal's crime scene.

Like the cafe bombings? Trigger happy cops? Its disorganized organized crime scene? Its burgeoning "gang" scene? The price of gas?

Yep, it's all grist for the mill.

Who were you pulling for in the U.K. elections? And what did Delorme say about the last riots, exactly? Montreal's top cops and their spokespeople generally have come up with so many stupid things over the years, it's hard to keep track. Years later, I'm still trying to get my head around the Anthony Griffin affair when the spokesperson said "The police have very good problemes with those people with their dark skin."

And of course, the classic "The police officer did nothing wrong. It's the gun's fault."

Montreal and Quebec are better when they're not playing us all against each other.

Go, Habs, go.

Yes, Montreal's crime scene has been quite active recently. I have difficulties following it. Keeping up to date for fiction writing is difficult too.

I voted Lib Dem, by default. I thought Labour did not deserve to stay in power, yet I don't trust the tories and did not want to contribute to their victory (I guess I messed that one up big time, but it was a Catch 22 situation).

Delorme said in 2008, after the riots that "we are all Canadien's supporters", that those who did participated in the riot were no "true supporters" and that the police was in a "festive mode". Seriously. A festive mode. Pathetic. He was supposed to very good as an undercover cop back during the bikers's war, I guess the Peter Principle applies in his case.

Montreal and Quebec are always playing against each others. If it's not for hockey it's for something else.

Glad to see you've lost none of your happy-go-lucky, mellow, rose-colored glasses outlook on life, Kevin. Now go outside and look at the wildflowers in the desert, or something, for a minute or two, then take a deep breath and get back to it.

Oh yeah, I got one of these here "blog" things now too. Will wonders never cease?

Rick, you ol' son of a bun! How ya doing?

For those of you who don't know him, My old pal Rick's a monster blogger -- he blogs more in one day than I do in months! Mysteries, sci-fi, movies, TV -- this guy has probably already forgotten more than I'll ever know.

But Rick, check your sig link. You've got a comma that should be a period. It should read http://brokenbullhorn.wordpress.com

And please -- nobody mention hockey, okay? I'm sulking.
